Tātou Office App’s Bulk Edit Feature lets users quickly ADD NEW or REPLACE EXISTING employee profile information and or status for 1 or more employee from the Employees Page.

Tip

Pro Tip: Bulk Edit can be used even for changes to 1 employee, which allows users to make profile updates without going into the employee profile, and allows users to change more than 1 profile item in one step.

Changes made using Bulk Edit on 1 or more employees are for changes that are the same across for all employees selected. If you’re looking to make changes across many different employees that require different values changed check out our Employee Bulk Import Feature Pro-Tips article.

Steps to Bulk Edit:

  1. Use filters to find the employee(s) who need profile information updated

  2. Select 1 or multiple employees with the select box

    1. If employees are across multiple pages, select all, click to the next page and click the Select All Button → ← which should like this indicating your selection is continued on another page

  3. In the Pop Up Menu at the bottom of the screen

    1. Check the Number of Employee(s) Selected matches expectation

    2. Click the Bulk Edit Button

  1. Add item(s) that need to either REPLACE EXISTING or ADD NEW

Note

Make sure you select the item(s) from the correct change list - REPLACE EXISTING will replace any information with the new selection (e.g. Groups - will remove the employee from any and all groups they are a part of and put them into the Group(s) you select)

  1. Make Changes and Click SAVE

Info

Items that exist in REPLACE EXISTING only (e.g. division, permission group) are things that an employee profile can only have 1 of.

Items that exist in ADD NEW only (e.g. hourly rate, medical record, etc) are records that are added for to historical records OR items that require a date associated with the added item.

Warning

Items that exist in both REPLACE EXISTING and ADD NEW can only be added to the same Bulk Edit once from either REPLACE EXISTING or ADD NEW.
