Clocking In and Out
Once the Kiosk is set up Employees can use their QR Code or Tātou Staff ID number to Clock In and Out. Regardless of whether your organisation uses the Auto Unpaid Break feature in Tātou Kiosk Mode, there are 3 Basic components of Clocking in and Out
1. Clocking In
Tap the GREEN Clock in
section on the Kiosk Screen
Scan your QR Code or Enter your Tātou Employee ID
Take a Clock In Photo → Tap the TAKE PHOTO button in the bottom right corner to skip the countdown
Select a Task you will be doing
Save
Clocking In is extremely important for data validation. If you forgot to Clock In when you arrived:
Notify your manager
Clock In when you’re at the kiosk next, then complete the action you intended to (e.g. Clock In and save, and right after Start Break, or Clock Out)
2. Clocking Out
Tap the RED Clock Out
section on the Kiosk Screen
Scan your QR Code or Enter your Tātou Employee ID
Take a Clock Out Photo → Tap the TAKE PHOTO button in the bottom right corner to skip the countdown
Review your Scans
Save
If when you select Clock Out the tablet asks you to Select a Task, this means there is no Clock In scan to match. As long as the device is connected to internet, after you select the Task there will be a prompt asking if you’d like to SAVE or CLOCK IN.
Unpaid Break Scans
Start Break and End Break Scans are slightly different from Clock In and Clock Out Scans. That is because they are not directly associated with a Task. Whatever Task was selected in the Clock In Scan is not changed by Unpaid Break Scans. So, for example, an Employee starts work on a New Task after their Unpaid break they must:
Start Break
End Break
Clock Out
of the First Task
Clock In
to the New Task
and finally Clock Out
at the end of the day
