Groups Page
Groups are a powerful sorting and filtering tool in Tātou. On the Groups
page, users with Office App permissions can create, manage, and review Groups as they see fit.
Tātou Terminology Review:
Groups = A filtering tool to help users of both the Tātou Field and Office Apps quickly locate, report on, bulk edit employee information, or filter a number of dashboards, reports, and pages. Employees can be in multiple groups, and groups can be made Active or Inactive.

Multiple Groups: Employees can be added to multiple Groups.
Pro Tip: While Groups don’t assign crews to Crew Leaders, creating Groups for each crew can be helpful. For Example, a Supervisor calls out sick, the person who covers for that Supervisor can “Manage My Crew” in the Field app, search for and add that Crew Group, rather than adding each crew member individually.
Group Visibility: When a Group is created there are options to Make Visible in the Field App and/or the Planner. This allows users to:
“Share” groups so Field App users can quickly add groups of people to their crew, or
“Hide” groups from the Field App or Planner that might not be relevant for those users, but are helpful for filtering and reporting in the Tātou Office App (i.e. Salaried vs Hourly Staff).
Review Group Details: Click the
to open the Group and inspect details, add or remove employees, and even change the status of the Group from ACTIVE to INACTIVE as needed.
