Locations, Blocks, and Rows
Tātou was developed to make easy work of tracking Jobs that are tracked and paid on contract/piece rate. Loading data for Clients all the way down to Row information allows users to optimise features that make Tātou special.
From the Clients
page click the to drill down from Clients, to Locations, to Blocks, and finally Rows.
Tātou Terminology Review:
Client = A group of locations (properties)
Location = A property composed of a group of blocks (aka vineyard, orchard, farm)
Block = Designated area of your property that are uniquely identified (aka, field, patch, paddock)
Row = Row a grouping of units
Units = a unit designation used to track and pay work completed on contract or performance rate type tasks (aka vines, trees, bays, m2, etc)
Total Units = The sum of units within a Row, Block, or Location.
Pro Tip - When deciding how to set up Clients, Locations, and Blocks - think about how you direct employees where to go. When Jobs are created in the Field App employees are asked to Select:
Client,
Location,
Block(s)
Before starting a Job, so these need to make sense to your employees, to ensure Jobs are accurately entered in the app.
Pro Tip - use the icon on any of the pages to add or remove columns from view on this page
Key Features:
Tracking Contract Work by Row: We’re pretty proud of this feature, but to be able to “Assign Rows” in the Field App, Blocks must first have Rows with Units/Row data uploaded in the Office App.
Tracking Contract Work by Block: It is still possible to track contract/performance work in the Field App without Row data. However, the Block will have to have “Total Units,” and Field app users will not be able to “Assign Rows,” and will have to instead use “Simple Summary” to track units complete.
